Ms. Parasmo received her B.A., cum laude with honors, from Fordham University in 2003 and her J.D. from New York Law School in 2006. During law school, Ms. Parasmo served as the Executive Articles Editor of the New York Law School Law Review. She was also a member of the Information Law & Policy Institute at New York Law School, where she participated in a "Do Tank" that was responsible for designing and proposing legislation for the formation of the Vermont Virtual Company: http://dotank.nyls.edu/VisualCorporation.html. Ms. Parasmo is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Ms. Parasmo has extensive experience in the area of employment class actions and has helped to achieve significant injunctive relief and monetary recoveries on behalf of employees as part of the litigation teams in Braun and Hummel v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Case Nos. 3373 and 3376 (Pa. Super. Ct.); Iliadis, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, No. MID-L-5498-02 (N.J. Sup. Ct., Middlesex Co.); Mussmann, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., No. LA-27486 (Iowa Dist. Ct.); and Brown, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., et al., No. 01 L 85 (Ill. App. 3d.).
Ms. Parasmo is presently a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association; Labor Relations and Employment Committee of the New York County Lawyers' Association; First Decade Committee of the Federal Bar Council; and 100 Women in Hedge Funds.
