You need JavaScript enabled to view it Ms. Salwen received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2008 where she was a Stein Scholar for Public Interest Law and Ethics. She received her B.F.A. from New York University in 1977. She is admitted to the Bars of the State of New York and the State of New Jersey and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. Before attending law school, Ms. Salwen served as a rank and file member of the Executive Board of United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 1262, New Jersey's largest local union. Ms. Salwen concentrates her practice in the area of employment law. She has represented employees in a wide range of areas including employment discrimination, pension issues, and unemployment insurance. Ms. Salwen joined the team litigating Seibert v. Quest Diagnostics, Inc., et al., Case No. 11-cv-304 (D.N.J.), a class action based on allegations that the company forced out or fired long-term members of the company's sales force because of their age in violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. Ms. Salwen is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association of New York and the New York Low Wage Workers Task Force. |
